Propel Northside Radio Club: My Radio Station
We had a great time in Radio Club at Propel Northside this week. We talked about what our ideal radio station would sound like and how each “DJ” would put together their time clock for the length of their program. Each student recorded their thoughts about their station and then created a tagline that we put together into a radio show intro, complete with music!
The ZONE: Mad Libs
Students at The Zone’s Radio Club received a grammar refresher with a Bowling-oriented Mad Lib. Their favorite noun: “Booty.”
Project Destiny Radio Club: My Radio Station
Students in Radio Club at Project Destiny wrote and recorded these pieces where they talk about what they listen to on the radio and what they would play on their own radio station. They drew time clocks breaking down the segments of their show. They also worked on creating a written self portrait.
Pittsburgh Spring Hill K-5 Radio Club: Three Things About Me
Students in Radio Club at Pittsburgh Spring Hill K-5 wrote and recorded these pieces where they describe themselves in three ways. They had a great time learning about how to hold the microphone and recording on a microphone for the first time (with a few exceptions!).
Propel Northside Radio Club: My Neighborhood
Students in Radio Club at Propel Northside wrote and recorded these pieces describing their neighborhood and favorite place to hang out. They then recorded these pieces and discussed how they would change their neighborhoods.
