Carlow University Students Return to the Roots of the Civil Rights Movement

As part of a course on the Roots of the Civil Rights Movement taught by Associate Professor, Dr. Linda Schifino, Carlow University students traveled through the south in the summers of 2010 and 2012. For nine days, the students traveled by bus, covering over 2,300 miles through Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Major sites included the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, the lunch counter in Greensboro North Carolina, the National Voting Rights Museum & Instute in Selma, as well as churches and other famous locations that commemorate the Civil Rights Movement.
