Are you a girl between 11 and 15 who is fascinated by science, technology, radio or podcasting? Are you curious, willing to work, and interested in talking to adults about what they do?

If yes, apply to be part of GirlTalk, a free afterschool program running April to June 2007. You'll interview a local woman scientist to create broadcasts and podcasts that will air in Summer 2007. and receive hands-on training in interviewing, digital recording and audio production in our studios. Don't delay! Applications are due 3/20 and space is limited.

GirlTalk is a project of the Girls, Math & Science Partnership and The Saturday Light Brigade. The program is free thanks to underwriting from the PBS program DragonFly TV with support from GCI Technologies and iKEY Audio.

On behalf of Just Harvest and Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, thanks to all who made bowls, donated food and services, and attended yesterday's Empty Bowls Dinner. The event was a great success.

Website updates:

We added some photos to the photos section. Look for them under the studio and music headings on the photos page.

We also did some back-end coding work to improve the functionality of the playlist search feature. Now results will not return non-saturday plays and the search by date feature has improved as well.
