Radio Camp 2014 – Day 7 – Song, Rap, or Poem
Beats were dropped as campers tried their hand at songwriting. Some even wrote haiku poetry.
Radio Camp 2014 – Day 6 – “When I’m Older…”
On our sixth day of Radio Camp, campers were asked what they would like to be when they grow up. In class we have an aspiring Jacksonville Jaguar quarterback (don’t worry, there’s a plan), a doctor by day and a humanitarian jitney by night combo (like a very mild mannered Batman) and a ton of future teachers.
Radio Camp 2014 – Day 5 – “Who Am I” Game
On our fifth day of Radio Camp, we decided to readdress nuanced discipline known as “Proper Microphone Technique.” But, to make it more fun we played the “Who Am I” game where students each received a sticky note, wrote down the name of a famous person, then stuck said note to a neighbor’s forehead. Each camper then got a chance to use a wireless mic and ask Yes or No questions in an attempt to figure out who they were, all while having to exhibit perfect mic technique.
Radio Camp 2014 – Day 4 – Independence Day
On our fourth day of Radio Camp, just one day away from July 4th weekend, we asked campers what they thought about and planned to do on our nation’s birthday. One camper had plans to travel to beautiful, exciting, exotic Buffalo, while many more mentioned barbecuing and explosions.
Radio Camp 2014 – Day 3 – Decoration
On our third day of Radio Camp we decided that the our room needed a little more chutzpah, moxie, and/or verve. So campers and teachers alike helped to create a vast collection of radio-themed art to decorate the room with.
