Students at Pittsburgh King got the chance to interview each other and learn some basic examination techniques. Afterwards we played the Who Am I? game, where students try to figure out which famous person they are by asking their fellow classmates questions.
Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8 2015: Three Things About Me
Students in Radio Club at Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8 wrote and recorded these pieces where they describe themselves in three ways. These pieces are a result of the first of six weekly sessions in which students will learn about the microphones, mixers and digital recorders used in producing features for radio.
Clairton CASTLE 2015: Round Table Story Telling – Haunted Birthday Party, Pt. 2
Students at Clairton continued with their round table story telling project: “The Haunted Birthday Party,” with each child adding their own personal twist to the already wild and expansive tale.
Pittsburgh Montessori Youth Gallery
Young artists and families of Pittsburgh Montessori gathered in the theatre of the Children’s Museum to celebrate their work. The “One School: Many Faces, Many Places” exhibit featured self-portraits, mud-paintings, and collage work. We welcomed these young artists into our studios to talk about their experience and share their artistic philosophies as well as their creative methods.
Pittsburgh Brashear After School: Who was John A. Brashear?
Students knew that Brashear’s namesake was John A. Brashear but they didn’t know much else about the astronomer, inventor, and Western Pennsylvania native.
