It’s our final day of Radio Club at Pittsburgh Allegheny Traditional Academy! And to celebrate all the hard work the students have put into writing and recording over the course of these six weeks we decided to eat some snacks before venturing down into The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, into The Saturday Light Brigade’s radio studio to make one final recording!
7th graders at ATA took time to answer a couple of hypothetical questions: “What would you do if your food started talking to you?” and “What if, while trapped in a Zoo with possibly blood thirsty animals, you could speak to said animals–Dr. Dolittle style?”
Students at ATA participated in two oddly disparate discussions, one focusing on issues of tremendous import like: “Did Darth Vader actually, really redeem himself at the end of ‘Return of the Jedi?'” The other discussion was about why we exist.
On the first of six after school sessions, students at Allegheny Traditional Academy were introduced to The Saturday Light Brigade and the basics of audio production.
