Recording Tips:
Find a quiet room to record in. Hold your device steady or set it on a stable surface close to you. Turn off all notifications during recording. Review one of the script options below. When you are ready, hit the button!
Script Option 1:
My name is ______ (first name) and I’m a (teacher/educator) at ____________ (school/organization if applicable).
If you are a nontraditional educator, make appropriate substitutions. Example: My name is Lois and I’m a children’s librarian at Main Street Library in Churchwood.
I’m amazed at what students are able to accomplish when they harness their personal creativity and drive. As an example:
Please describe a project, a situation, a kindness, demonstration of grit, innovation, or anything that simply blew you away. You need not list the student’s name and you can speak casually.
Things like this make me glad to be a teacher and more hopeful for the future.
Script Option 2:
