From 02/01/2020: Elizabeth Forward 8th graders Marley Vaughn, Garrett Vietmeier, and Kaitlyn Bloomer discuss their profile of Cleaveland/Price (a Trafford company that makes high-voltage power switches) as part of their participation in What’s So Cool About Manufacturing, a video contest launched to create a new perspective and regional awareness on career opportunities in manufacturing for students.

From 1/25/2020 – Penn Middle School students Braeden Simon (13), Caeley Simon (11), Eliza Kleinschmidt (12) and Adithri Pingali 11 on their participation in the latest Fairchild Challenge during which students explored how plants are able to respond to climate changes by using different characteristics and mechanisms to regulate leaf temperature.

From 1/18/2020 – From Youth Chamber Connection, the Sixth Avenue Trio featuring Elizabeth Salgado on flute (11th grade, Seneca Valley), Trey Tillotson on clarinet (12th grade, Eden Christian Academy), and Alex Owczarzak on bassoon (12th grade, Moon Area).

From 01/04/2020 – Kerollos Kamel (18, University of Pittsburgh) and David Donehue (19, Carnegie Mellon University) discuss their participation in the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Academy as well as opportunities for high school students (ages 15 and up) and college undergraduates to apply to take part in the Summer 2020 program (deadline is 2/10).
