Teens Elena Jackendoff and Joanna Weiss, winners of Carnegie Library’s Ralph Munn Creative Writng Contest, join us to share some of their poetry and discuss their experiences. Open to students in grades 9-12 throughout the county, these contests are just one way CLP engages its teen audience. See website below for further detail.

Gemini Theater produces original, interactive, children’s musicals which focus on artistic, cultural and educational themes. This week we welcome members of the cast of ‘Cinderella’ as they preview their production of this classic story.

Dennis Miller, 15, is a singer-songwriter and guitar player from Beechview. He brings his unique form of alternative rock for its world premier, live on SLB.

Sarah Krastman, 11, is an accomplished singer from Pittsburgh. Her forte is in musical theater and opera, and she shares her lovely voice with us, live on SLB.

Joining us, participants in the 2011 Pittsburgh CLO Academy’s Summer Camps. These summer performance camps are designed to give kids the opportunity to experience preparing for and performing on the stage. Working with a Director, Music Director and Choreographer, students create their own exciting musical theater experience! More information is available below.
