New at Neighborhoodvoices: Rachel Mracna is a singer-songwriter and performer who most recently toured with the cast of Billy Elliott, performing the role of Debbie, among others. We’re pleased to welcome this young and upcoming talent, live on SLB.

New at Neighborhoodvoices: The Fairchild Challenge fosters interest in the environment by encouraging teenagers to investigate, devise imaginative and effective responses, and to take action at many levels on environmental issues through a menu of Challenges. This week we’re joined by winners Alicia Ferrilli and Chrissy Figan who successfully completed Challenge #5: Intergenerational Interviews, where students interview an elder about his or her experiences and relationship with nature, and then compare and contrast the elder’s experience with the student’s own.

New at Neighborhoodvoices: The Pittsburgh Concert Society’s Young Artists Competition provides a recital opportunity and support to talented classical musicians. This week, we’re delighted to present winning artist Grace Callahan, Soprano, performing selections live on SLB.

New at Neighborhoodvoices: Sky Visco, Sam Harris, and Aaron Karsh are students at CAPA. With the accompaniment of their instructor Paul Thompson, hear the quartet perform jazz standards as they preview the “CAPA Cabaret”, live on SLB.

New at Neighborhoodvoices: The 3rd Annual Gilda’s Club Teen Writing and Art Contest serves as a venue for teens who have personal experiences with cancer to express themselves. We’re pleased to have Zachary Lear, Rama Godse, Anandhini Narayanan, and Anna Dukovich in our studios sharing the pieces they composed, live on SLB.
