Ron and Debbie Mesing & John and Wendy Mackin comprise bluegrass outfit The M&M Express. With dobro, double bass, guitar and banjo, these two couples sing in the high-lonesome sound that has been ever-evolving in our Appalachian hinterland. We are proud to welcome this quartet from Elizabeth, PA to our studios!

We’re pleased to host poet and musician Mark Weakland, who will both perform songs and read from his latest book of poetry, The Delicious Chocolate Donut. Mark will be accompanied by talented actress Chris Laitta, live in our studios.
Spotlight: Pittsburgh Folk Festival w/ Mimi Jong
Mimi Jong has played the erhu – an ancient chinese instrument – since the age of ten. She has performed alongside members of the Pittsburgh Symphony and renowned Jazz musicians. Jong also performed with Mary Miller Dance Company, and taught/performed at Huntingdon Council for the Arts “Folk College.”

We’re pleased to welcome Alaska’s Fiddling Poet Ken Waldman, who will perform live along with multi-instrumentalist Mark Tamsula. In addition to releasing his first book of prose, Are You Famous?, Ken’s latest children’s CD is entitled D is for Dog Team.
