SLB is thrilled to be part of Remake Learning Days, running now through 5/23 in Southwestern Pennsylvania. There are hundreds of free events throughout the region and we hope you’ll visit our studios and new Youth Media Center for one or more of the following SLB-hosted activities:
- Streaming the News, Saturday 5/2 (1 pm to 4 pm) — Tune in as teens host Streaming the News, a live conversation about where young people get their information and what they hope the future of journalism looks like in Pittsburgh and beyond. Listen to the livestream at slbradio.org/youth-express.
- Family Podcasting, Saturday 5/9 (12 to 2 pm) — Families of all kinds are invited to join us at the Youth Media Center to ask questions, tell stories, and make a new memory as they record a family podcast of their very own. Activities are free. Space is limited so please reserve your slot ASAP.
- SLB Showcase and Open House, Thursday 5/21 (4 – 6 pm) — Join us for an all-ages night of performances celebrating our students and community. Teen songwriters will share their work alongside innovative artists from our region’s thriving music scene. Light refreshments and a brief Q+A session will follow each performance.
