It is the second week of Propel Northside Radio Club! We hear a fresh new podcast from rising 5th through 8th graders, the rising 2nd through 4th graders come up with plans for their own radio program, and rising 1st and 2nd graders talk about their favorite animals.

This week in Radio Club, we finished our time clocks from the previous week and shared with the group what our radio program would sound like. Then we had a discussion about creativity and why it’s important for ourselves and for our world.
Propel Northside Radio Club: My Radio Station
We had a great time in Radio Club at Propel Northside this week. We talked about what our ideal radio station would sound like and how each “DJ” would put together their time clock for the length of their program. Each student recorded their thoughts about their station and then created a tagline that we put together into a radio show intro, complete with music!
Propel Northside Radio Club: My Neighborhood
Students in Radio Club at Propel Northside wrote and recorded these pieces describing their neighborhood and favorite place to hang out. They then recorded these pieces and discussed how they would change their neighborhoods.
