In October of 2014, PAEYC and Allegheny County Family Support came together to present “Inviting Ideas, Inspiring Innovation”, a conference featuring sessions that explore educational innovation occurring where learning takes place, outside of the classroom. The conference highlighted presentations from providers, parents, teachers, artists, scientists, designers and anyone aiming to improve learning experiences for children.

During PAEYC’s inaugural UnConference on November 16, 2013, 150 early childhood education educators participated in field trips to both education and non-education based companies that are cutting edge in creative thinking, focused on innovation and employing technology in non-traditional manners.
