Over the course of 5 weeks, 7th Graders at Pittsburgh Manchester PreK-8 have been working hard creating awesome audio recordings and, to celebrate all their hard work, the students got to throw an awesome party on their final day! Have a great Summer!
Pittsburgh Manchester Prek-8: “What I Want to Be When I Grow Up”
Students at Pittsburgh Manchester wrote and recorded these pieces where they describe what they want to be when they grow up. These pieces are a result of their weekly sessions in which students will learn about the microphones, mixers and digital recorders used in producing features for radio.

Students at Pittsburgh Manchester had a chance to answer the classic hypothetical: “If you could travel back in time, where would you go?”
Pittsburgh Manchester Prek-8: “Pea-Demonium”
Students at Pittsburgh Manchester Prek-8 were asked to write a not-so-typical story, one that had to begin like this: “One night, you’re eating dinner with your family, when one of the peas on your plate starts whispering to you. What does it say?” Below are their finished and recorded surreal yarns.

7th graders at Pittsburgh Manchester PreK-8 got their first taste of Radio Club! After learning about The Saturday Light Brigade and the basic tenets of audio recording, the students then put this new knowledge to work briefly describing themselves in the recordings below.
