Teens interested in exploring podcasting, writing, music, journalism, and live radio are welcome to join us for our drop-in afterschool (+ Saturday) programs.

At-A-Glance, Upcoming Activities: Upcoming activities include Book Commercials (3/3, 4:30 pm), Poetry Cafe: Women Writers (3/7, 12 pm), Artist or Critic (3/10, 4:30 pm), National Pi Day vs. National Potato Chip Day (3/14, 12 pm), Blog About It (3/17, 4:30 pm), Women’s History Audio Zines (3/21, 12 pm), Who’s on First (3/24, 4:30 pm), and Publishing Workshop (3/28, 12 pm) as well as weekly youth reporter meetups (Mondays, 4 pm), Dungeons & Dragons (Wednesdays, 4:00 pm), and open mics (Thursdays, 4:00 pm). Youth can also join us for open studio hours on Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Activities are free to area teens and take place at our Youth Media Center, co-located in the Children’s Museum on Pittsburgh’s Northside. Students are encouraged to visit our Student Hub at ymc.slbradio.org to learn more about our programs.
Voices of the Mercy Corridor, Kick-off Event: Interested in journalism, audio documentaries, interviewing, writing, and editing? Develop these skills as you collect stories from the Mercy Corridor, three historic neighborhoods in Pittsburgh: The Hill District, Oakland, and Uptown.
