Students in Radio Club at Pittsburgh Spring Hill K-5 came to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh to visit our studio and to tour the museum. While in the studio, they learned how a radio station works and made recordings about what they’ve learned as well as made some beats.

Today in Radio Club we learned how to build a working radio out of a kit!  Students broke into groups or worked on their own to follow instructions on building a working radio.  These pieces are a result of the seventh of eight weekly sessions.

Students in Radio Club at Pittsburgh Spring Hill K-5 wrote and recorded these acrostic poems about spring.  First we had a discussion about what makes an acrostic poem (a poem in which the first letter of each line in the text spells out a word or a message - in this case, SPRING).
