Students in Radio Club at Propel Hazelwood finished their afterschool sessions with conversations about civil rights activists and positive role models as well as what they would choose to put on their own radio programs.

We asked After Schoolers at Propel Hazelwood to dream up a fantastical creature that lives behind their school. There were a few different approaches to monster creation; some classically scary, some misunderstood, and some friendly.

We've all daydreamed about having an exotic pet. A tiger... a panda... maybe some kind of tiger/panda hybrid. The sky's the limit! Students at Propel Hazelwood put aside the prohibitive costs (and city permitting issues) that go along with owning a rare, possibly dangerous creature, to talk about what kind of animal they would choose if they could have any pet.
