In May 2012, we interviewed 23 high school students from various Pittsburgh Public Schools about graduation, and what it takes to succeed. The following Themes have been culled from these interviews, and demonstrate a wide range of experiences, emotions and perspectives. The Student Stories provide insight into the lives of some of the contributing students.
These features are a part of the Graduation Champions Campaign, an initiative of The Neighborhood Learning Alliance, and United Way of Allegheny County, which is founded in the belief that everyone can contribute to the success of our communities’ students; everyone can be a champion.
