Free Youth Media Center Programs in May

About our programs: Upcoming programs include International Workers’ Day (5/5, 4:30 pm), Profile Practice (5/12, 4:30 pm), Paper Flower Poems (5/16, 12 pm), Haiku Zine (5/19, 4:30 pm), Twist My Words (5/26, 4:30 pm), and Finding Your Voice: Anime and English Dub (5/30, 12 pm), as well weekly youth reporter meetups (Mondays, 4 pm), Dungeons & Dragons (Wednesdays, 4 pm), and Soapbox (Thursdays, 4 pm), a new program where youth can perform, collaborate, or simply listen as the Youth Media Center becomes a home for songs, poems, stories, and on-the-spot improv.

 

New teens are always welcome and there’s no long-term commitment!  Activities are free. The SLB Youth Media Center is co-located in the Children’s Museum on Pittsburgh’s Northside. For more details and our May Calendar, visit ymc.slbradio.org.

 

Joins us for Remake Learning Days: SLB is thrilled to be part of Remake Learning Days, running from 5/1 through 5/23 in Southwestern Pennsylvania.There are hundreds of free events throughout the region and we hope you’ll visit our studios and Youth Media Center
for one or more of the following SLB-hosted activities:

  • Streaming the News, Saturday 5/2 (1 pm to 4 pm)
  • Family Podcasting, Saturday 5/9 (12 to 2 pm)
  • SLB Showcase and Open House, Thursday 5/21 (4 – 6 pm)
