Arrange for school/afterschool programs

SLB offers a variety of educational programs for school and after school environments.  Programs are customized from existing SLB curricula and can be offered as one-time, daily, or weekly sessions depending upon school needs. Available topics include self-expression, digital audio recording and editing, interviewing, community engagement and oral history.  In most cases, multiple SLB staff will be involved and will bring equipment for students to use as part of hands-on exercises in these subject areas.  Many student work products are broadcast on The Saturday Light Brigade and featured at Neighborhood Voices. Our experienced educational staff has worked with children in Grades PreK through 12 in schools including:
  • Avalon Elementary School
  • Hampton High School
  • Manchester Academic Charter School
  • Pittsburgh Allegheny
  • Pittsburgh Greenfield
  • Pittsburgh Lincoln
  • Pittsburgh Miller
  • Pittsburgh Manchester
